MAX1090H410-R Waterproof Case (Removable Lid)

The MAX1090H410-R is the odd one out in the 1090 series, and it is the reason a lot of people choose it. The 410mm of internal depth is split almost evenly between a 200mm lid and a 210mm base, rather than the shallow lid the other sizes use. You get two usable compartments instead of one deep tray with a cover.

Total capacity is 300 litres across a 1090 x 680mm floor. It weighs 19.5kg empty and rolls on double wheels with a fold-down pull handle at one end, with bottom-side handles for two-person lifting when it is loaded.

Why the even split matters

Most large cases give you a deep base and a lid that does nothing but close. This one gives you 200mm of packing depth in the lid as well, so you can lay one set of gear in the base and another in the lid without either shifting into the other.

It is also why this is the size Panaro builds the 14-rifle fitout on. Seven in the base and seven in the lid only works when both halves are the same depth.

Empty or rifle fitout

Empty is the base configuration (MAX1090H410-R), giving you 300 litres of clear volume for your own foam, trays or dividers.

The rifle fitout (MAX1090H410GUN-R) ships with pre-cut foam for 7 rifles in the base and 7 in the lid, with lockable cross bars over each layer to hold the load in place through transit. The 1090mm internal length takes most long arms without breaking them down.

Transport and storage of firearms is regulated at state level in Australia. Check your obligations with your state firearms registry before travelling.

For anything other than long arms, we cut custom foam inserts in our Melbourne workshop from your drawings or from the equipment itself.

The 1178 x 780mm external footprint sits inside a 1200 x 800mm Euro pallet with room to strap. On a standard Australian 1165 x 1165mm pallet it overhangs the long side by 13mm, so check with your carrier before palletising a run of them.
