GigGear Australia Pty Ltd (“GigGear”) sells and manufactures road and flight cases along with various brands of protective cases and bags. It also sells and distributes a range of professional audio equipment and music and stage equipment and accessories to retailers and end-users.

We are required to comply with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988.

We may also be required to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation being Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council (“GDPR”) in relation to personal information stored and processed of a small number of subscribers who may be within the jurisdiction of that Regulation

Upon payment by you, for any of your purchases made through this website, by using the online PayPal payment system registered with PayPal Australia Pty Ltd and operated through www.paypal.com.

There are other less frequent instances where we collect personal information, such as when financial details are sought from persons or businesses who seek to be GigGear product resellers, where stock or services is provided on credit.

No credit card information is transmitted to or stored or processed on our website. GigGear uses the Stripe payment gateway in conjunction with the Westpac Banking Group. During the checkout process on the GigGear website, you are transferred to pages hosted by Stripe for entering and processing credit payments. The information collected would generally comprise name, address, postal address, telephone, fax and e-mail contact details, as well as the details of the GigGear product that you have purchased or are interested in. This information is necessary for us to complete our sale obligations to you once you have made your purchase. High level information in relation to your business may be also be collected. Should you contact us requiring technical or similar assistance, information relating to your problem and our suggested solutions are also recorded by us to assist in better customer relationship management.

How we use this information

We collect personal information so that we can communicate with you about the product that you use and efficiently deliver and administer all products and services we provide to you.

In the case of financial information requested from parties wishing to be resellers and, as such, be provided with GigGear stock on credit terms, this information is used to perform credit referencing and checking.
