MAX1090H280 Waterproof Case (Hinged Lid)

The MAX1090H280 is the shallowest case in the MAX 1090 series, with 280mm of internal depth across a 1090 x 680mm floor. That works out to 215 litres, and it weighs 17.5kg empty.

Despite the footprint it is not a two-person job to move. It rolls on double wheels with a large fold-down pull handle at one end, and there are bottom-side handles at both ends for lifting it onto a bench or into a vehicle once it is loaded.

Hinged or removable lid

This is the hinged version, closing on 8 double-throw latches. The lid stays attached on full-length hinges and opens to 90 degrees, so there is nothing to set down and lose on a job site, and one person can open and shut it without help.

If you would rather take the lid off completely, for two-person loading from either side or for gear that has to come out vertically, we stock the MAX1090H280-R. It uses a lift-off lid with 12 latches instead of 8, which is where the price difference comes from. Same shell, same internal dimensions, same certifications.

Empty or cubed foam

Empty is the base configuration (MAX1090H280-H). Cubed foam (MAX1090H280S-H) fills the base and lid with pick-and-pluck cubes you can pull out by hand to shape a rough pocket.

Cubed foam is fine for mixed loads and gear that changes. For anything that travels often or is worth protecting properly, we cut custom foam inserts in our Melbourne workshop from your drawings or from the equipment itself. Send us the case model and what is going in it.
